Talented beauty Puja Banerjee, who has enthralled the audience with her acting skills and comic timings on screen, is set to make a comeback to TV in a new role.
The actress will soon be seen on Colors’ upcoming suspense thriller series Dev (Peninsula Pictures).
Puja is elated to have this role in her kitty and she is quite excited to be seen essaying the new character on her upcoming show.
In a candid chat with Tellychakkar.com, she told us, “I will be seen essaying the role of Mehek in the show, who will be Dev’s wife (Ashish Chowdhry). Although she will be shown dead in the track but she will be always connected to Dev in a unique manner which will be revealed as the story will unfolds. It’s very rare that you get to play such roles on TV and it’s quite exciting that I have got to play a character like that. This character has a lot of shades and there is a lot of scope to perform as an actor.”
Pooja has also done comedy as well and she feels, the comedy genre is difficult adding “comedy is a serious business.”
Puja is all set to get engaged to her beau Kunal Verma on August 16. She did reveal to us that she was busy preparing for the engagement which is why she had taken a break from TV for long. Talking about the same, Puja told us, “I had taken a break from TV because I didn’t want to do anything. I have done films too. The role of Parvati that I have played earlier is very close to my heart. When I was offered the role of Mehek, I felt that this is something that I want to do as an actor. I am little choosy about my work.”
Puja is having a gala time on sets with her co-stars. When we asked her about having Ashish as her co-star, she commented, “He is very funny. He always makes me laugh before the shots and he himself doesn’t talk before a scene (smiles).”
We also asked her if she has been following Kunal’s show Dil Se Dil Tak. She smiled and told us, “Yes, I have been and I love his show. I think that the series has become more interesting after his entry.”
