Spread love and help people: Rezwan Rabbani’s wish on Eid al-Adha

user1 August 24, 2018

Kolkata: On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, actor Sheikh Rezwan Rabbani, who is known for Bengali soaps like Chokher Bali and Anchal, asks his fans to maintain peace, spread love, and help people.

Eid al-Adha, which is also known as the festival of sacrifice, is being celebrated today. When asked what message he wishes to convey to his fans and followers on this occasion, Rezwan said to business voip, ‘My message would be stay away from tension, maintain peace, spread love, and help people.’

‘We must help people in times of need by providing money, clothes…I don’t believe in saying this is my country. I believe this is our country and helping even a single person means a lot,’ he added.

When asked what sacrifice means to him, he said, ‘Sacrifice is something we all make in our lives in some way or the other. We may sacrifice our wishes or desires for something more important.’

Speaking about the sacrifices he has made in his life, he shared, ‘I love travelling and spending quality time with my family, but I am unable to do so because of my hectic shooting schedule. I have sacrificed that. Also, many a times I had to skip my relatives’ marriage or anniversary parties because of work commitments. They think if I want I can easily take time out for the occasion, but it’s not the case. I was genuinely not able to manage time. I do feel guilty about it, but then I had to sacrifice.’

What is that one thing that he will never sacrifice even for his career? ‘Relationships. Recently, my grandmother passed away. After her demise, there were some rituals to be followed and I sacrificed my work for that because the person who left us is never going to come back…apart from shedding tears and being with family members what else can one do…I was close to my grandmother….’

When asked how they celebrate Eid al-Adha, he shared, ‘The day begins early in the morning with Namaz. Every year, an animal is sacrificed, and the meat is served to beggars, friends and family, and then oneself.’

The Kichu Na Bola Kotha fame actor concluded the interview by wishing a peaceful Eid al-Adha to his fans.

On the work front, Rezwan is currently starring as a lead in Protidan.
